Moving is a stressful time, and what does stress do to your body? Too much stress can make you feel horrible…and we are not just talking about a headache. Those who experience a lot of stress may find that they have body aches, feel like they have the flu, and other types of sickness. So, during a move it is imperative that you stay healthy so that you can complete this move and be ready to settle into your new home.
So, what steps can you take to be even healthier during your move? Here are our top tips!
-
Stay hydrated
Staying hydrated is a must when moving, even if the pros are moving your items. Hydration is key during the hot spring and summer months to avoid injuries, headaches, and numerous other issues.
-
Eat well balanced meals
It can be tempting to snack all the time while packing and gearing up for a move. However, you need to make sure that you are getting the right nutrients as you will be expelling a lot of energy during a move. Eat balanced meals and snacks to keep your energy levels up.
-
Wear the proper shoes
While it is warm out wearing sandals is often what people have on. However, the proper shoes can ensure that you do not have an accident. If you are packing, try to wear athletic shoes to avoid dropping items that could end up breaking toes or other bones in the foot.
-
Disinfect as you go
While COVID-19 numbers are slowly dropping throughout the United States, you still need to disinfect items as you go. The CDC is now saying that if you have had the vaccine, you do not have to wear your mask, so that is a personal decision as to whether to do this or not. But, you will still find that disinfecting along the way is a good thing to do!
For those who are ready to move, then be sure that you are staying healthy, but also be sure that you call Dunmar Moving in plenty of time before a move to get the date that you want.
