Interstate 64 and Interstate 95 are the main interstates that are going through the majority of Virginia, and you will find it can get you right to Richmond! Remember when driving on interstates to be aware of the traffic around you and avoid using your cell phone. Many wrecks happen due to distracted driving on these interstates.

Visit Beforehand

Be sure that you are visiting Richmond before you are moving here. It simply makes it easier to have a home that the pros can move your items into. Plus, this gives you a chance to get to know your area even better than just moving here and starting from scratch! When you visit, be sure to work with a real estate agent to find the best home for you, and take some time to see the sights of Richmond!

Get Settled In

Once your items arrive at your new home, get settled in. The settling in process includes numerous tasks. These tasks include:

• Unpack and put things into order at your new home
• Be sure to change your license, insurance and other information
• If you have children, get them enrolled into school
• Be sure to check your insurance information and find new doctors that you are going to need
• Find the local grocery store so that you can stock up on what you need
